Dimple B Shah is a multidisciplinary artist based in Bangalore, trained at M.S. University, Baroda. Her practice spans painting, printmaking, installation, and performance art. Over the past two decades, she has actively participated in international performance festivals and biennales across Zurich, Paris, Munich, Gothenburg, Lagos, Colombo, Dhaka, and across India. Dimple has held residencies at The Art House UK, Villa Welbreta (Germany), Glasgow Print Studio, and Space Studio, among others. Her recognitions include the ROSL Residency (UK, 2019), Villa Welbreta Residency (2017), and the India Foundation for the Arts grant (2014). She received the National Award from the Government of India (2008) and the Commonwealth Arts & Crafts Award (2005).

Her work has been exhibited at Kunstquartier Bethanien (Berlin), Glasgow Print Studio, and in major print and performance festivals in the US, UK, Bulgaria, Thailand, and Armenia. She is an active member of global performance networks, including Transitstation and Be-coming Tree.
